A Guide to Monograms

Monogram etiquette can be tricky even for the most well versed Southerner, so here’s a guide to help you know when and how to use your most special initials.

ONE LETTER MONOGRAMS

• Last Name - This is the most traditional use of the one letter monogram. Common uses include wreath sashes, dinner or cocktail napkins, and bath towels (all varieties).

• First Name - Also commonly used, especially on personal items like burp cloths, clothing or items used by one person.
